I got Baking by Flavor about the same time as Chocolate American Style, and while I found the recipes jumping at me from BBF, they really haven't done so from CAS. There are some I'd like to make, but recommendations are always nice!

Hi Stephanie - you're welcome! I used to post always when they were announced, but started feeling like a noticeboard. If you want to keep up with SHF, I know the inventor, The Domestic Goddess (see right hand bar for link) has an icon in the left corner of her blog, at all times linking the host of the next one.

Hi Cathy! - mmm, chocolate pound cake... From the fridge, mmmm... While I love the texture of a homemade straight-out-of-the-oven cake, you're right, some of them has to come from the fridge!

Anon! - I think you're becoming a little bit obsessed here, aren't you?;-)

Hi Tanvi! - thank you! And go get it, go get it!

Hi Emily! - thank you (too)! And you know you're the one that lured me into buying the book, right?

Oh Lee? Staring at it might be enough, but it definetly doesn't make for bad eating either!Cerebrumhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16583325839191361818noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8053193.post-1112430710930726862005-04-02T10:31:00.000+02:002005-04-02T10:31:00.000+02:00cakes baked in these artistically shaped moulds lo...cakes baked in these artistically shaped moulds look so fine I could be satiated even by staring at the perfection of the cake. In the US, it came out around the same time as Pure Chocolate by Fran Bigelow and while most of the things I've tried from Fran's book haven't quite worked (they've still been delicious--after all, it IS chocolate...), everything I've made from Laura's book has been fab. Must try this recipe next!debbie koenighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09799330922268046613noreply@blogger.com
